01What this policy covers

This policy applies to information collected when you visit www.cognitk12.com, including any pages linked from the main navigation, and when you contact us by email. It does not apply to:

• Information processed through CognitOS or any of its modules. That information is governed by the CognitK12 Student Data Privacy Notice, which districts can request from their representative or from us directly.
• The websites or practices of school districts that use our platform.
• Third-party websites we may link to.

02Information we collect

We collect very little information on this website:

• Emails you send us. If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. See Section 3 for details on how this is handled.
• Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard technical data — IP address, browser type, referring URL — needed to deliver the site. These logs are not used to profile visitors.

We do not run analytics software, advertising trackers, social media pixels, or any cross-site tracking on this website.

03Email inquiries

This website does not have a contact form. If you email us, for example at the address in Section 11, your message is delivered and stored by our email provider. This means:

• Your message passes through our email provider's infrastructure as part of that delivery.
• We retain your message to follow up on your inquiry and as a record of the correspondence.
• We use it only to respond to your request — not to build marketing lists or share with third parties for their own purposes.
• If you ask us to delete your inquiry information, we will do so.

04How we use information

We do not use website visitor information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

05Cookies & tracking

This website does not set any cookies and does not use analytics software, advertising trackers, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking technology of any kind.

If you sign in to CognitOS or any of its modules, those applications use secure authentication cookies described in the Student Data Privacy Notice. This marketing site does not read those cookies or use them to track you.

Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking, this site does not respond differently to “Do Not Track” browser signals — there is nothing to opt out of.

06How we share information

Information you send us is shared only:

• With our email provider, which delivers and stores the messages you send us (see Section 3).
• With Vercel, our hosting provider, which processes standard delivery logs.
• When legally required, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order.

We never sell contact information and never share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

07CognitOS data: a note for districts and users

This website is served over HTTPS (TLS) with HSTS enforced. No passwords or sensitive data are collected on this site.

09Children

This website is intended for adults — district leaders, educators, and others evaluating our services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through this website. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, reach out and we will delete it.

Student use of CognitOS modules administered by contracting districts is covered by the Student Data Privacy Notice, not this policy.

10Your choices

• You may ask us to delete information you sent us. Email us at the address in Section 11.
• There are no cookies to manage and no marketing emails to unsubscribe from. We email you only to reply to messages you send us.
