Cognitive Education LLC, operating the CognitK12 Survey Ecosystem ("Cognitive Education," "we," "us," or "our"), is committed to being transparent about how information is handled on this website. This Website Privacy Policy applies to www.cognitk12.com only — the public marketing site and contact form.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to information collected when you visit www.cognitk12.com, including any pages linked from the main navigation, and when you submit the pilot-request contact form. It does not apply to:

Information processed through the CognitK12 Survey Platform (survey.cognitk12.com) — that is governed by the CognitK12 Student Data Privacy Notice, which districts can request from their representative or from us directly.
The websites or practices of school districts that use our platform.
Third-party websites we may link to.

2. Information we collect

We collect very little information on this website:

Contact form submissions. If you request a pilot, you provide your name, work email, district name and state, approximate campus count, role, areas of interest, and any message. See Section 3 for details on how this is handled.
Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard technical data — IP address, browser type, referring URL — needed to deliver the site. These logs are not used to profile visitors.

We do not run analytics software, advertising trackers, social media pixels, or any cross-site tracking on this website.

3. Contact form

The pilot-request form on contact.html is processed through Google Apps Script, which delivers your submission to our team via Gmail and sends you a confirmation email at the address you provide. This means:

Your form data passes through Google's infrastructure as part of that delivery.
We retain the submitted information to follow up on your inquiry and as a record of the correspondence.
We use it only to respond to your request — not to build marketing lists or share with third parties for their own purposes.
If you ask us to delete your inquiry information, we will do so.

What we collect on the form

First name, last name, work email, district name, state, approximate campus count, role, survey modules of interest, and an optional free-text message. No student data, no financial information, no sensitive personal data.

4. How we use information

Purpose	What this involves

Send a confirmation email	Automated reply to the email address you provided, confirming we received your request.
Operate and secure the site	Hosting provider logs used to deliver and troubleshoot the website.
Comply with law	Meeting legal obligations and enforcing our agreements.

We do not use website visitor information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

5. Cookies & tracking

This website does not set any cookies and does not use analytics software, advertising trackers, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking technology of any kind.

If you sign in to the CognitK12 Survey Platform (survey.cognitk12.com), that application sets a secure authentication cookie described in the Student Data Privacy Notice. That cookie is scoped to the platform subdomain and does not track you on this marketing site.

Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking, this site does not respond differently to "Do Not Track" browser signals — there is nothing to opt out of.

Contact form submissions are shared only:

With Google, as the Apps Script and Gmail infrastructure used to process and deliver submissions (see Section 3).
With Vercel, our hosting provider, which processes standard delivery logs.
When legally required, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order.

We never sell contact information and never share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Platform data — a note for districts and respondents

Not covered by this policy

This website policy does not govern student, family, or staff data processed through the CognitK12 Survey Platform. That data — including survey responses, roster information, and administrative user accounts — is governed by the CognitK12 Student Data Privacy Notice and by the signed services agreement and data privacy agreement between Cognitive Education and your school district. Contact your district representative or reach us at the address in Section 11 to request a copy of the Notice.

8. Security

This website is served over HTTPS (TLS) with HSTS enforced. Contact form submissions travel to Google's infrastructure over encrypted connections. No passwords or sensitive data are collected on this site.

9. Children

This website is intended for adults — district leaders, educators, and others evaluating our services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through this website. If you believe a child has submitted a contact form, reach out and we will delete it.

Student participation in surveys administered by contracting districts is covered by the Student Data Privacy Notice, not this policy.

10. Your choices

You may ask us to delete contact form information you submitted. Email us at the address in Section 11.
There are no cookies to manage and no marketing emails to unsubscribe from — the only email you receive is a one-time confirmation of your pilot request.
